Die Anubias nana "Kirin Mini" ist eine kleine Variante der wunderschönen Zuchtform des Zwergspeerblattes. Der Name Kirin stammt aus Ostasien und beschreibt ein drachenähnliches Fabelwesen mit ein oder zwei Hörnern. Die Haut dieses imaginären Tieres ist mit Schuppen übersät - vielleicht ein Bezug zu den stark gewellten Blatträndern.
