The store manager and his team

Mr. Slavko Bosjnak and the 52 store employees around him will look after their customers and help them wherever possible. The store opening times are from 8am-9pm from Monday to Saturday and from 9am-3pm on Sundays. The comprehensive assortment ranges from lighting, electrical and machines to construction elements, timber, sanitary and tiles as well as household items, paints and decoration.

OBI Garden Center

The garden center offers the most beautiful plants, pots and decoration items to OBI customers. The professional employees readily give advice about the correct use of gardening tools and machines and the use of various fertilisers and soils.

Services

Outstanding service is an absolute matter of course for OBI. Not only the sales staff in the individual departments but also the friendly and qualified employees at the OBI Service Center in the entrance area are available for questions regarding individual OBI services and for general requests. Here, customers can receive information as well as ordering and replacement services from one hand. In addition, OBI gift vouches can be issued at the Service Center. OBI offers special services to its customers: Woodcutting to the millimetre, key, sewing and delivery services as well as machine rental are some examples of the services that customers can benefit from in the OBI store in Ptuj. All common credit cards will be accepted at the cashiers.

The Bober Bonus Card – like in all Slovenian stores – will also be available in Ptuj. It can be obtained free of charge, without any obligations and has no minimum purchase volume. The most important advantages are up to 5% bonus on everything and 20% on top offers, three months money back guarantee, half-price van rental and birthday surprises.

Bober Bonus Card holders can obtain direct access to the „Beaver Club“ and all its advantages on the Slovenian homepage. Not only can customers view their individual purchases around the clock but also obtain a bonus overview for the current year and previous periods. In addition, Bober Bonus Card holders can easily and quickly amend their customer data in the online “Beaver Club”. And finally they also have the possibility of ordering a new or additional Bober Bonus Card in the case of loss or for their partner, a relative, etc. by just one click. These new advantages are complemented by comprehensive information and answers to the most frequently asked questions around the Bober Bonus Card.

OBI expansion

OBI is a modern retailer with an over 35year long tradition, market leader in Germany and a leading brand in Europe. Altogether, OBI runs over 530 stores, more than 330 thereof in Germany, which are partly run as franchise stores and partly as OBI’s own stores. In addition, OBI operates over 200 stores in 12 additional European countries. These stores also act as OBI’s own stores, as joint ventures or franchising stores.

OBI in Slovenia

As early as in 1998 OBI opened its first Slovenian store in Maribor in cooperation with the Slovenian company MG Market as franchise partner. Four years later, in May 2002, additional OBI stores were opened in Ljubljana and Koper, followed by another store in Kranj in 2003. In autumn 2006 these four stores became OBI’s own stores and since then they have been run under the supervision of the OBI headquarters in Vienna.

At the beginning of May 2008 the 5th OBI store was opened in Murska Sobota, followed by the opening in Nova Gorica on June 3rd, 2009. The OBI store in Ptuj is OBI’s 7th store in Slovenia. Especially the regional population is profiting from the new store openings, which have created – amongst other benefits – numerous jobs in Slovenia.

Michael Vinzing is OBI Slovenia’s Country Manager, supported by Mr. Ivan Uršič as manager of the Slovenian headquarters. The Slovenian head office is located in Ljubljana. Mr. Gotthard Tialler is responsible for Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina as Sales Director.
